Roxene Dunn Barrett is a pastor, author, teacher, and disciple-maker committed to helping people discover their identity in Christ, walk in freedom, and fulfill their God-given purpose. She carries a particular concern for those who have been wounded, overlooked, rejected, or abandoned.
Her own journey of healing and restoration has shaped how she teaches, writes, pastors, and disciples others. Through difficult seasons and the redeeming work of God’s grace, she came to understand that painful experiences do not have to become permanent definitions.
Through A Light of Hope Christian Network, her pastoral ministry, writing, teaching, and community outreach, Roxene equips believers to grow in spiritual maturity and live from the truth of God’s Word.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Roxene lives in North Carolina with her husband, Thermal. They continue to serve together in ministry.

My mission is to restore identity, awaken purpose, and lead individuals into wholeness through the truth of God’s Word. I am called to reach those who feel wounded, overlooked, rejected, or forgotten.
Through teaching, discipleship, writing, and leadership development, I am committed to equipping believers to renew their minds, strengthen their faith, and walk in spiritual authority, emotional wholeness, and purposeful living.

About Pastor Roxene Barrett

Roxene Dunn Barrett is a pastor, author, teacher, and disciple-maker committed to helping people discover their identity in Christ, walk in freedom, and fulfill the purpose God has designed for their lives. Her ministry carries a particular burden for those who have been wounded, overlooked, rejected, or abandoned, and for those whose experiences of trauma and loss have quietly reshaped the way they see God, themselves, and their future.
Roxene holds a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology and a Master of Education from East Carolina University. Her background in both theology and education enables her to communicate biblical truth with doctrinal depth, practical clarity, and a heart for helping people understand how the Word of God speaks into everyday life.
Much of Roxene's ministry has been shaped by her own journey of healing and restoration. Through personal wounds, seasons of brokenness, and the redeeming work of God's grace, she came to understand that painful experiences do not have to become permanent definitions. That understanding now shapes the way she teaches, writes, pastors, and disciples others.
Her message is rooted in a simple conviction: what has happened to you does not have the authority to determine who you are. Through Jesus Christ, identity can be restored, minds can be renewed, lives can be made whole, and purpose can be awakened again.
Through A Light of Hope Christian Network, her pastoral ministry, writing, teaching, and community outreach, Roxene continues to equip believers to know who they are in Christ, grow in spiritual maturity, and live faithfully from the truth of God's Word.
Roxene is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband, Thermal, reside in North Carolina, where they continue to serve together in ministry.
