A Light of Hope Community Center exists to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through practical support, educational opportunities, resources, and programs that help people move toward greater stability, growth, and purpose.
We believe strong communities are built when people have access to the support, knowledge, encouragement, and opportunities they need to move forward. Our goal is not simply to respond to immediate needs. We help individuals and families build stronger foundations for the future.

A Light of Hope Community Center was established to help bridge those gaps. Through community programs, educational initiatives, family support, resource connections, and partnerships, we create opportunities that strengthen people across generations.

Who We Are
A Light of Hope Community Center, Inc. is a North Carolina nonprofit organization established to serve individuals and families through education, support, resources, community programs, and opportunities for personal and family development.
The Community Center was founded from a simple conviction: people should not have to face every challenge alone. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment where people can receive practical assistance, develop skills, connect with resources, and discover opportunities that can strengthen their lives and families.

Programs & Services
Supporting People Through Every Stage of Life
A Light of Hope Community Center is developing programs and initiatives designed to address practical needs while strengthening individuals and families for the future.
- Family Stability and Empowerment Program — Provides monthly educational workshops, counseling referrals, parenting support, and one-on-one consultations designed to strengthen families in Pitt County.
- Destiny Carriers Discipleship and Recovery Program — A structured monthly personal development curriculum addressing identity, recovery, mental and emotional health, and community reintegration.
- Next Gen Rising Young Adult Program — A planned weekly youth development program supporting the emotional, personal, and social growth of youth ages 10 to 18 in Pitt County.
- Legacy Builders Senior Engagement Program — A planned program engaging senior adults ages 60 and older in Pitt County as active contributors to the broader community.
- Community Development Outreach and Social Services — A Light of Hope Community Center conducts quarterly community outreach and seasonal service initiatives throughout Pitt County.
- Community Workshops and Events — Educational events, community conversations, family activities, and outreach initiatives.
